Mixed-media on wood.

Abstract mixed-media painting framed in dark oak displayed above a neutral linen sofa in a warm, minimalist living room, featuring layered green and gold textures with dried botanical elements.

Whispers del Alma, 2024

Mixed-media on canvas.

Bodies of Work

Each body of work reflects an ongoing exploration of memory, identity, and transformation, unfolding across materials, symbols, and lived experience.

Raíces de Luz

Memory, ancestry and belonging.

Raíces de Luz investigates ancestry, migration, and spiritual inheritance through layered surfaces and symbolic material. Rooted in Daniela Angulo’s experience between New York and Cali, Colombia, the work explores identity as something constructed, preserved, and illuminated.

Viscera

Language, voice and inner truth.

Viscera examines the relationship between language, vulnerability, and internal awareness. Through symbolic imagery and material tension, the work considers how words and perception shape emotional experience.

Lux Botanica

Nature, ritual and transformation.

Lux Botanica explores botanical preservation as both ritual and material study.  The work reflects on fragility, memory, and the human desire to preserve what cannot remain unchanged.

Curatorial Practice

Alongside her studio practice, Daniela Angulo develops exhibitions and collaborative spaces that bring artists and communities together. Through One Spirit, Many Voices, she creates opportunities for emerging artists to share work, connect with audiences, and participate in meaningful cultural dialogue. For Angulo, curating is an extension of making — another way of building connection, storytelling, and collective experience through art.
